A slim black-framed swing door with reeded glass, open into a living space

Swing doors

Slim-framed hinged doors — down to a 16 mm sash face, which is barely more than a line of aluminium around the glass.

These are interior doors that behave like joinery: hinged, latching, sealed with EPDM against sound and draught, in frames slim enough that the door reads as glass with an outline.

NG-01 carries a panelled 86 mm frame for a more traditional read. NG-02 and NG-03 are the slimline pair — 16 and 18 mm sash faces, single or double glazed — for bedrooms, studies, kitchens and wardrobes. All three hang either hand, inswing or outswing.

Inside the frame

The same system, cut open. This is what sits behind the plaster once the trim goes on — and it is where a window succeeds or fails.

A frame section showing the continuous central EPDM sealing strip seated in the profile
The sealing lineA single continuous EPDM strip runs the whole way round. A seal only works where it stays compressed along its entire length — joins are where they fail.
A narrow-frame section cut through the sash and outer frame
The narrow sightlineHow little frame you can see is a function of how much structure sits behind it. This is the section that lets the sightline run slim without losing rigidity.
A window frame cut open in driving rain, showing the concealed drainage chamber in the sill
The hidden drainage pathRain driven at the frame collects inside the sill chamber and leaves through a concealed slot, instead of running down the face of the window.

Performance

The slim sections are stated for interior use and balcony doors; the panelled system for main entrances.

What a specific opening achieves depends on its size, exposure and installation. That is why we assess the opening before we specify the system.
